Are the performance areas accessible via step free access?
Our Main Auditorium has step free access on ground floor level, making it wheelchair accessible. That said, the balcony level is only accessible via steps and unfortunately, there are no lifts on site at Leith Theatre.
For events in the Thomas Morton Hall, the audience area is entirely on the ground floor and therefore wheelchair accessible with step free access.
Are there accessible toilets on site?
Accessible toilets are available and clearly signposted. Please feel free to ask our staff for directions if needed.
Is there disabled parking available?
While there will be no dedicated parking at Leith Theatre for the summer programme, there are nearby parking options with accessible spaces. We recommend checking local parking facilities in advance of your event and arrive early to secure a suitable spot.
Can I bring walking aids into the space?
Walking sticks, crutches, and other walking aids are welcome in all areas of Leith Theatre. If you prefer to store them during a performance, please speak to a member of staff when you arrive.
Can I bring in food, drink or medication if I have a medical condition?
If you need to bring food, drinks or medication for medical reasons, you are welcome to do so. Let our team know upon arrival to ensure a hassle-free entry.
Do you use strobe lighting?
Some events in our space do use strobe lighting or include lights flashing. If you have photosensitive epilepsy or any light sensitivity concerns, we recommend contacting us ahead of the event so we can share specific details about the event.
